Many mutual fund investors have found their investments frozen due to new KYC rules requiring updated documentation. Resident individuals can complete their re-KYC online through mutual fund or KYC Registration Agency websites if their status is "Registered," "On Hold," or "Validated." However, non-resident Indians (NRIs), foreign nationals, and those whose KYC is "On Hold" or "Rejected" must complete re-KYC offline by submitting physical documents at authorized centers. Using Aadhaar for KYC ensures seamless online transactions, while other documents may require repeated offline verification for new investments
