To invest in small savings schemes like PPF, Senior Citizen Savings Scheme, Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana, or NSC, it is mandatory to submit your Aadhaar number at the time of account opening. If you don’t have an Aadhaar yet, you can provide proof of Aadhaar enrollment and must submit your Aadhaar number within six months, or your account will be frozen until you do so. PAN is also required, and failure to submit it within the specified period can similarly render your account non-operational. This rule ensures all small savings accounts are linked to Aadhaar for identity verification and compliance
